Fall 2019 NewsletterWe are happy to report that our clinic is now 1 year old!

Here are some of our latest offerings:

1. We have resumed IV therapies, now in our window-studded Sun Room. Dr. Chris Duhon, a nationally recognized expert in IV therapy for chronic diseases, will be bringing his services to AIMS Institute in November 2019.

2. We are continuing ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and have an excellent team of mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy and integrative care. We have lowered the cost of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in small group settings and are negotiating with insurance companies for coverage reimbursement.

3. We are launching cannabis-assisted psychotherapy.

4. We are now running the following groups and classes:

Psychedelic Integration Group Class. Open to the Public. 60 min. $25. Led by Alison Draisin, PsyD. 10 person max. 1st or 2nd Weds of the month. 5pm. Next session: 12/4/19.

KAP Integration Group Therapy. Open to established patients. 60 min. $40, insurance coverable. 8 person max. Led by Alison Draisin, PsyD. Monthly on Weds. 5pm. Next sessions: 11/20/19, 12/18/19.

Pain Therapy Group. Open to established patients. 60 min. $40, insurance coverable. Led by April Mullen, LMHC. Semi-monthly. Thursdays, 6pm. 10 person max. Next sessions: 11/7/19, 11/21/19. Details here.

KAP Experiential Group. Open to established patients. 120 min. Cost: see website. Led by Nate Schmidt, DNP, ARNP. Semi-monthly. Fridays, 4pm. Next sessions: 11/1/19, 11/15/19.

Medical Qi Gong Class. Open to the Public. 60 mins. Cost: $20. Discounted rates available. Led by Carrie Lafferty, PT. Weekly. Mondays, 7:30pm. See here for details.

Author: Raushanah Najeeullah, ND A new urine test, MyProstateScore 2.0 (MPS2), offers better accuracy for detecting high-grade prostate cancer compared to current methods. In a recent study involving over 1,500 men, MPS2 reduced unnecessary biopsies by up to 51% while still identifying significant cancers with high sensitivity. July 12, 2024 Leanna Standish IV CURCUMIN AIMS Institute’s integrative oncology team is investigating the therapeutic effects of intravenous curcumin in treating the most aggressive type of brain cancer, called glioblastoma.  Curcumin is the molecule present in turmeric root that has anticancer activity.  Curcumin has been shown in cell culture experiments to cause the programmed death of glioblastoma cells.  We use IV curcumin in order to provide sufficient levels of curcumin to the brain that will slow tumor growth.  Our brain cancer patients are enrolled in AIMS Institute’s IRB-approved study called the AIMS CANCER OUTCOMES STUDY.  Last year we presented ...
