We’re 6 Months Old!

Entering our 6th month of operations, we are excited to share an update about our offerings and growth at AIMS Institute:

Introducing our Newest Team Members

AIMS is thrilled to welcome two new members to our Patient Care Coordination team – Meaghan McKracken and Hila Dean. These ladies are multitalented, super resourceful and unwavering in their commitment to serve our patients. Here’s a bit more about them:

We’re 6 Months Old!

Meaghan McKracken joined the front of office team in January. She enjoys the dynamic care she is witness to here at AIMS and the connections grown from working with all of the amazing patients that are called to work with our clinic. On top of working with many health clinics over the years in many diverse roles, Meaghan is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has been in practice actively for 12 years. She has recently transitioned from working full-time in bodywork, to teaching massage, and now to building bodywork and massage into the AIMS Institute. Stay tuned for more as we work to bring these services and more to AIMS!

We’re 6 Months Old!

Hila, psychonaut and neuroqueer human, joined us just a few short weeks ago. When she is not helping AIMS patients, she is studying therapeutic & spiritual use of psychotropics for the purpose of optimal daily life experience. This pursuit will continue in the fall, when she attends the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Hila is also a recovery and transformational coach. She will be facilitating the AIMS Institute Psychedelic Integration group, which is open to all members of the public. She is a yogi, writer, and community organizer.

We’re adjusting IV Therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy pricing

AIMS Institute is updating our Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP) program and IV C Therapy pricing to more accurately reflect the value patients receive from this service as well as the real operational costs to our institute. This change is in service of the long-term health and expansion of these programs and will ensure ketamine assisted therapy and IV therapy remain at AIMS Institute for many years to come!

Starting on April 1st, KAP out-of-pocket costs will be:

We’re 6 Months Old!

* Please note that these prices reflect cost per session, not the entire 6-week track.

Starting on April 15th, IV Vitamin C out-of-pocket costs will be:

We’re 6 Months Old!

* Please note that these prices reflect the cost for the entire 6-week track.

Keeping our services accessible to our beloved community is not just a slogan for us–it’s what makes AIMS, AIMS! If cost is a concern from you, please note that we offer low-dose ketamine sessions with our psychotherapy team starting at $50 and have low-interest payment plans available. Patients with ketamine lozenge prescriptions may use them with our therapy team free of charge.

Have any questions or concerns? Feel free to reach out and we will get back to you quickly.

A Holistic Solution to Health Disparities: Naturopathic Medicine and Culturally Competent Care

Healthcare Disparities in African American Communities African Americans continue to face significant disparities in healthcare. From higher mortality rates for chronic conditions like cancer and heart disease to underdiagnosis of autoimmune disorders, these inequities stem from systemic racism, implicit bias, and a lack of cultural sensitivity among providers. Studies show that Black patients are less likely to receive adequate pain management and more likely to feel unheard or dismissed during medical visits. These disparities erode trust in the healthcare system and lead to poorer outcomes and avoidable suffering. For many, navigating the system can feel isolating and disempowering, leaving them ...

At AIMS Institute we prescribe low dose oral naltrexone for ‘long COVID’

A recent paper in the Frontiers in Medicine states that An underutilized intervention for long  COVID is low dose naltrexone, which has an established safety profile for a variety of conditions. ‘Naltrexone is a non-selective opioid antagonist currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of alcohol and opioid dependence and is prescribed at 50–150 mg daily. At doses below 5 mg, it is considered low-dose naltrexone (LDN), exhibits anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, and has been used off-label to reduce severity of symptoms in conditions such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, complex regional pain syndrome, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue ...
